2011.12.01 - New Studio Album
In December 2012, The Poor Fools started recording a new album in New Jersey. Besides covering Randy Newman's "My Old Kentucky Home", Bob Dylan's "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues" and the Dallas Frazier Country classic "Beneath Still Waters", the Poor Fools also recorded four new Kazee/Lyon originals. The untitled album will be finished sometime this Winter.
2011.10.01 - “I’m Down”
This past October, a few of The Poor Fools got together and covered "I'm Down" for The Beatles Complete on Ukuele project. Southside (vox/harp), Tommy Byrnes (guitar), John Conte (bass) & Jeff Kazee (misc. instruments/producer) delivered a raw, swampy turn on the Fab Four classic. Ira Siegel guested on ukuele.

The creator of The Beatles Complete on Ukuele, David Barratt says "We hold this truth to be self-evident — if every citizen spent a little bit of time playing the ukulele, the world would be a nicer place." The Poor Fools agree. Now, the clarinet...
