2012.05.16 - Hearts Of Stone performed May 11th at the Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield, Maine.
2012.01.14 - The Light of Day Foundation Concert
On January 14th, the Poor Fools pitched it to raise money and awareness for Parkinson's disease by performing at The Light Of Day Foundation Concert at The Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, NJ. Other performers were Willie Nile, John Eddie, Joe D'Urso, Garland Jeffreys, and Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers--whose set featured the evening's poorly kept secret of the special guest, Bruce Springsteen.
The Poor Fools were making their Asbury Park debut and it went pretty well--Tris McCall, from The Newark Star-Ledger wrote "…the show was almost stolen by the Asbury Park debut of Southside Johnny's Poor Fools, a freewheeling bluegrass-inflected folk-rock experiment for the roughneck R&B singer."
Hey, we'll take that.
Congrats to LOD founder Bob Benjamin, Tony Pallagrosi, Joe D'Urso and the many volunteers that help make the entire weekend of shows such a success.
